A Bright Tradition of Faith Since 1969
Vivekanand Nagari Sahakari Pratyaya Sanstha (M) was established in the year 1969 by some social workers. The main objective of the organization was to provide financial assistance to the people from the grass roots of the society. The principal business of the institution is to accept deposits and disburse loans. The organization was started and business was done by the activists of that time sitting on the ground. With the passage of time the scope of the organization increased, with the faith and blessings of all the members, the organization flourished and progressed progressively, and in the Silver Jubilee year, the organization purchased its own building and a well-equipped office was set up. This office was inaugurated by the then Mayor of Nagpur city and former Chief Minister Mr. Devendraji Fadnavis. From here the organization truly took an eagle leap and never looked back. As soon as it was realized that this building is also diminishing due to the increasing occupation and business, the search for a new place started in the Mahal area. A 2400 sq ft plot was purchased on the main road "Opposite Chitnis Park, Next to New English School". A grand four-storied building was built on it. This building was inaugurated by Reverend Shri Mohanrao Bhagwat, Suprime of RSS. The building of the society is fully air-conditioned and has lift, parking, generator, 100-seat capacity auditorium with 24-hour security guard, available for small events. The hall has been named as founder member and social activist Late Shri Divakarrao Dhakras Smriti Hall by the organization. On the first floor of the building, the organization has a spacious, air-conditioned, fully computerized office with trained and courteous officers and staff. All the officers and staff are committed to provide timely and proper service to the members.
On the occasion of the golden jubilee of the institution, the institution has decided to develop a Core Banking System and three branches along with the head office have been connected through a central computer system. Now it will be convenient for the members to do their transactions from any branch. Through this system, our members can also get mobile banking, SMS facility, NEFT, RTGS, QR code etc. facilities. This will strengthen the transparency and reliability of transactions.
The organization has a trained debt recovery department and continuously monitors and follows up on defaulting borrowers. As a result, the NPA ratio of the organization is negligible. Even during the COVID-19 period, the organization showed its ability to recover by doing its business in the right direction and taking the borrowers into confidence, the resulting huge profit was more than other financial institutions. The annual profit of the organization is more than one crore. The Institute has maintained Audit Class A since its inception.
The organization has recently entered its golden jubilee year and the members have been the lion's share in this process. The organization is reaching its peak of success only with the trust and cooperation of members, customers and well-wishers. The board of directors hopes that the cooperation, trust and love of the members will increase in the future as well.
From the point of view of social commitment, the organization dedicates funds to social organizations that do excellent work every year. The organization has provided financial assistance to hundreds of social organizations so far. In the dire situation of COVID-19, the organization has dedicated an air-conditioned ambulance equipped to serve the patients through the "Lokkalyan Samiti".
A total of three well-equipped branches of the organization Mahal Main Branch, Pratap Nagar Branch and Hudkeshwar Branch are serving the customers and all the branches are doing excellent business.
